So over the last few day I headed to the south east corner of Costa Rica and relaxed at a backpackers place called Rocking J´s which pretty much was a shed with hammocks, tents and campsites. We chose to camp for 3 nights and got used to the hard floor. Here we met some interesting folks from Belgium, the US and portugal to hang out, relax, and go out with. It definitely had a Jamaican vibe due to the descendants of and old Jamaican work importation era. this of course meant constant reggae music at the clubs. We then booked a ¨tour¨ to the Tortuguero National Park. This involved taking a bus ( i left my damn tent on the bus so we only got 3 days of use out of it!), taxi, water taxi to our accommodation. We had set our alarm for 6 am to pack everything up to find out that i must have turned off the alarm in my sleep. we woke up at 6:40 to scramble to get to the bus stop in time for a 7:30 departure(reoccuring trend) part of me is angry that i lost the tent so early, another part of me is relieved that i didn´t have to drag that thing around any more. On the way we saw animals almost too many to list such as howler monkeys, the jesus christ lizard, crocs, caimans, and herons galore. After spending multiple trips to verify what was included on the so called ¨tour¨we took a walk over to the beach at night to check out the sea turtles laying eggs. They hold you back off the beach to not scare the turtles but once they start a layin´they let you actually see the eggs fall in the hole and the turtle scurry back into the sea. This morning we took a row boat out into the national park to check out more animals. Lora really wanted to see a toucan, but all we could see is a little bit of one way up in a tree. We got to see other animals too, we have a list somewhere though. We then learned that our ´transfer´does not include a water taxi, and a bumpy bus ride to town. We then get to the bus station with our travel partner Adam (who took everything in stride) and mike (whom which had been getting more annoyed by the second or the lack of organization for us) and left mike at the bus on toward san jose. Our ride to our present location was not there. our taxi driver suggests maybe it is at another station. Much confusion later our driver shows up to only say, the guy at the national park put us on too early of a boat! He drove around frantically looking for us but luckily mike alerted him of our presence.
Ok no jokes, only rambles but thanks for reading. Waterfall and ¨jeep boat jeep¨ride to monte verde.

Getting Gay with kids is here!
Welcome children to Costa Rica. We arrived on time and sleep deprived into San Jose. We attemped to get a decent price to the hostel to no avail but it was worth a shot. We stumble into the Galelieo hostel at about 9am to find out (as expected) our room wont' be ready til one -ish. We then took the hostel dude's advice since i was in no mood to think of where we should go on our 10 day stay here. i then proceded to attemtp to stay awake with some delcious localish coffee but Lora went straight to the couch for a nap. and nap we did. We napped pretty much until 3 or so then went on a walk to look for the bus station tohit up Puerto Viejo de Talamanca. After realizing that most streets had no signage and about 14 wrong turns and 3 poor excuted direction asking atempts we find our selves at the bus stop to gather info. We couldn't buy a ticket but got the schedule. The evening consisted of *gasp* eating mexican style food (why, who knows?) but was rather good and napping some more.
Today we woke up late (I belive this is the beginning of a trend here) Grabbed some more pastries and headed out to the bus stop. Of course, in our tired state we failed to let our cab driver know we are on to him and the ride ended up costing more than that cab back from the station last night. (shakign angry fist at the world) No mattter, i am waiting for the bus and hopefully some relaxing beach camping if we can get the tent up before it rains!
